The ABS Powerlifting Series

The ABS Series is not a federation.
We don’t issue memberships, collect yearly fees, or sanction lifters.
Instead, we are an independent professional competition circuit designed to showcase the strongest athletes in the world on the biggest stages — while still providing a clear pathway for lifters at every level.

Anyone can lift — from complete beginners to the world’s best.
You’ll need qualifying totals and certain scores to climb the ladder and compete in our showcase events, but there’s a place for everyone on the ABS platform — from those entering their first competition at Regional meets or Division 2, to elite lifters battling it out on the biggest stages in powerlifting.

Why We Aren’t a Federation

  • āŒ No memberships or politics — lifters don’t need to join, renew, or belong to a governing body.

  • āŒ No restrictions — athletes from any background (tested, untested, IPF, WRPF, WPC, GPC, or otherwise) are welcome if they meet the standards.

  • āŒ No barriers — we focus on performance and competition, not red tape.

The ABS Series is about freedom and opportunity:

  • You can lift in your federation and still lift with us.

  • You don’t need politics to qualify — you just need the total (from Division 1 upward).

  • Every stage is built for lifters and spectators, not for bureaucracy.

We’re not a federation because powerlifting doesn’t need another federation. It needs a main stage. That’s what the ABS Series provides.

How the ABS Pathway Works

The ABS Series is open to all lifters — from grassroots to the elite. Our structure provides a ladder of progression that rewards performance at every stage.

🟢 Entry Level

Regional Series / Division 2

The foundation of the ABS Series. Open to anyone — no qualifying total required. These accessible, grassroots events give lifters their first taste of the ABS platform, a chance to gain experience, and an introduction to competitive powerlifting in a professional environment. Many lifters start here before ever competing in a federation.

šŸ”µ Intermediate Level

Division 1

A step up in standards and competition. Lifters here are required to hit qualifying totals and show they can perform at a higher level. Division 1 is the bridge between grassroots and the professional pathway.

🟠 Professional Pathway

PRO-AM

The gateway to the top. PRO-AMs are highly competitive events where lifters battle for titles, rankings, and qualification for showcase events. Winning here is the main route into the majors.

šŸ”“ Showcase Events

The pinnacle of ABS competition:

  • ABS PRO — the original and most prestigious event.

  • Clash of the Titans — Europe’s strongest meet, where every lifter on the platform is capable of a thousand kilos or more.

  • STROM RUMBLE — America’s strongest sleeved meet, a U.S. major, and part of the ABS Triple Crown.

  • Grand Prix — an international invitational with world-class qualifying standards.

The ABS Difference

The ABS Series exists to push the sport forward: bigger stages, bigger rivalries, and bigger moments.

We’re not here to be another federation.

We’re here to be powerlifting’s main stage.
